When working at SUSD (2018-2022)
During my time at SUSD, I contributed to a Studio’s own development project that involved the partial demolition and expansion of an existing church, which included a community hall, alongside the construction of three luxurious five-bedroom homes. The site proposals aim to preserve the locally listed 1907 church, implementing internal modifications to improve the functionality of its interior spaces. Additionally, we designed an extension at the rear of the church to incorporate a modern kitchen, dining area, meeting rooms, and additional spaces for community use, while erecting three new residential units on the site previously occupied by the 1930s church hall. SUSD served as the developer and played a pivotal role in co-founding both the construction and refurbishment efforts of the church.
In my role as the Project Manager and Contract Administrator, i guided daily operations from the planning phase through contract procurement to practical completion. I actively engaged in the tendering process, contract assembly, commercial management, and the final handover to buyers. I prepared monthly Design and Progress reports for bank funders while managing facility expenditure, including budgeting and reporting. Additionally, I chaired monthly Design Meetings and performed project valuations.
