80 Charlotte Street
London
When working at John Robertson Architects (2013-2018)
80 Charlotte Street, a mixed-use development in Fitzrovia, London, was designed by Make Architects. JRA served as the Client Monitoring Architect for Derwent London, with Multiplex as the main contractor.
Spanning 35,300m², the development comprised three buildings: a ten-storey office block with extensive workspace, and two residential blocks—one adjacent to the office and another within a refurbished structure on Whitfield Street. The project delivered 55 apartments, blending private and affordable tenures, with both residential and office areas offering access to spacious terraces. Additional amenities included a café, a restaurant, and a new public park on Chitty Street.
In my role, I ensured contractual compliance on behalf of the client, reviewed project designs and drawings, and provided monthly compliance reports highlighting discrepancies and potential risks.
